WW2 Pattern 37 Ancillary Pouch

WW2 Pattern 37 Ancillary Pouch: These are rear Pattern 37 Ancillary pouches for carrying extra BREN gun Magazines or ammunition. They are all made by Zyphyr Looms & Textiles Ltd Montreal in Canada during WW2. I have 1942 and 1943 dated pouches on hand.

These particular pouches are all in good used condition and have a very similar patina. They were purchased by a reenactor group and then were sold off as excess. The pouches are made from waterproofed cotton webbing with brass fittings. They are designed to connect to a front pouch with extra webbing.

These pouches also were used during the Korean war. They were modified for use in Vietnam where they were often dyed green. They also would either be cut or modified by stitching loop of webbing so they could be threaded onto M56 webbing.
